Traffic Management training course provides required competency for interpretation and implementation of the traffic management plans.
The course provides knowledge on how to ensure a safe environment for construction and maintenance and the general public.
Course CODE
Traffic Management training course is delivered and certificates are issued by the Edway Training (RTO No 91401).
Edway Training is approved by the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver this training course.
Traffic Management training course does not provide Traffic Control qualification. To obtain Traffic Control qualification, a person is required to complete Traffic Control training to receive ‘Control Traffic with the Stop-Slow Bat RIIWHS205E’ qualification. Edway Training, with confirmation from the Victorian Government, will be offering limited training services onsite. This is to assist permitted work premises and permitted workers to obtain necessary qualifications, specifically in the areas of First Aid and Construction work.

Upon successful completion of the course, on the day of training, participants will receive:
Traffic Management training course covers topics, such as plan and prepare to implement a traffic management plan, set out the traffic guidance scheme, monitor traffic guidance scheme, close down traffic and clean up.
The course consists of PowerPoint theory presentation, videos, practical activities and end of the day practical and theory assessments.
Edway VIC issued plastic white cards are regionally accepted all across Victoria.
Statement of Attainment is nationally recognised.
However, additional training might be required to perform Traffic Controller duties in different states. Please refer to the local authorities for more information.

if participants do not provide a valid form of I.D.
From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.
USI can be obtained via www.usi.gov.au
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED if participants arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.
To safely perform practical activities, participants are required to wear comfortable closed-in shoes.
THE TRAINER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY TO THE CLASS if appropriate shoes are not worn.
Basic level of understanding, reading and writing of English is required. Use of interpreters and translators is not allowed.
As part of our pre-training review all students are required to complete an LLN assessment to determine a student’s eligibility for enrolment into their selected course.
All students enrolling into any Edway Training course must have LLN skills to do simple calculations, understand English well enough to be able to read, write, and provide verbal responses to questions in English to undertake training and assessment in any of our courses.

Yes, this course needs to be refreshed every 3 years by completing a Traffic Management Refresher course, which we run once a month.
You will be awarded RIIWHS302D Implement Traffic Management Plan on successful completion of the course. You will be issued with a statement of attainment and a plastic wallet sized card on the day of training.
Traffic Management training course covers topics such as: Implement a traffic management plan, understanding the traffic guidance scheme, monitor traffic guidance scheme, setting up and packing down of traffic safety signs.
No, Traffic Management and Traffic Control are 2 separate courses, and need to be completed on 2 different days.
