TAE Upgrade Course Information

Trainers with the TAE40110 qualification may still use it, but it’s becoming less recognised in the industry. Upgrading to the TAE40116 or the most up to date version TAE40122 is recommended to stay compliant and meet current standards. Some employers now require the latest qualifications, so upgrading ensures you remain qualified and competitive in the VET sector.

The RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) process for the TAE Upgrade course involves assessing your existing skills and experience against the qualification requirements, allowing you to gain credit for what you already know. You will need to submit evidence of your prior learning, and any gaps identified can be filled through targeted training.

  • Essential for Assessors: This course is required for individuals who need to obtain assessment competencies to assess within the VET system
  • Regulatory Compliance: Meets the standards set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA)
  • Flexible Delivery: Completed online, offering flexibility with an average completion time of 6 to 12 months
  • Nationally Recognised: Utilises nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs
  • Professional Development: Ensures ongoing compliance with national and state regulatory requirements through continuous professional development
