The SITHFAB025 Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee course, commonly known as the “Barista Course,” is designed for aspiring baristas, hospitality workers, and coffee enthusiasts.

Barista Course is delivered and certificates are issued by the Edway Training (RTO No 91401). Edway Training is accredited by ASQA to deliver this training course.
IMPORTANT: To attend this course, participants MUST hold SITXFSA005 ‘Use hygienic practices for food safety’. If you do not already hold this unit of competency, you can enrol for our ‘Barista Food Safety Combo’ course here.
Edway Training, with confirmation from the Victorian Government, will be offering limited training services onsite. This is to assist permitted work premises and permitted workers to obtain necessary qualifications, specifically in the areas of First Aid and Construction work.
All courses will follow strict COVID-19 precautions and requirements based on guidelines set out by the Victorian Government for permitted workplaces.

This course teaches skills to operate espresso machines and grinders, advise customers on coffee beverages, and prepare quality espresso drinks. Ideal for hospitality staff in cafes, restaurants, bars, and event venues, this course covers coffee workstation setup, milk texturing, and equipment maintenance.
This course supersedes and is equivalent to SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee.

The basic understanding, reading and writing of English is required.
Use of interpreters and translators is not allowed.
As part of our pre-training review all students are required to complete an LLN assessment to determine a student’s eligibility for enrolment into their selected course.
All students enrolling into any Edway Training course must have LLN skills to do simple calculations, understand English well enough to be able to read, write, and provide verbal responses to questions in English to undertake training and assessment in any of our courses.

ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED
if a participant fails the LLN test.
From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CAN NOT BE ISSUED
if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.
USI can be obtained via www.usi.gov.au
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED
if a participant arrives 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.
Participants must provide one form of photo I.D. (e.g. passport, Australian driver’s licence, proof of age card, student card).
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CAN NOT BE ISSUED
if a participant do not provide a valid form of I.D.

Statement of the Attainment must be presented on or before the training day as proof of qualification.
