Why Do I Need to Take Traffic Control Refresher Course?

Before you can work as a traffic controller, you must take the Control Traffic with the Stop-Slow Bat RIIWHS205D course. This will give you the required competency in controlling traffic using a stop-slow bat. Upon completion, you will be given a Traffic Controller’s Statement of Attainment which is valid for three years.

So what happens when your certification expires? You will need to take the Resfreshor Course. After all, it is a government and industry requirement. In addition to that, you will get to renew your certification and learn updates on the previous course.

NOTE: The renewal course does not renew a Traffic Management qualification. For Traffic Management qualification renewal, you need to take Implement Traffic Management Plan RIIWHS302D refresher course.
